Where it all began

Back in 2019, I attempted to make a sourdough starter—but let’s just say, it didn’t go as planned. I was confused, impatient, and completely lost on what to do. Frustrated, I tossed it and swore off sourdough for good.

But a few months later, I decided to give it one more shot. The moment I opened the oven and saw my first successful loaf, I was on cloud nine. I couldn’t believe it—me, someone who had never baked a single loaf of bread, had made sourdough from scratch!

That’s when I realized sourdough wasn’t the complicated ordeal I had once believed, and I knew I had to share what I had learned.

I started by teaching friends and family, and after leaving my job in marketing, I began hosting community sourdough classes. Eventually, I launched my online sourdough course, and before I knew it, my Instagram started taking off.

The more I shared, the more I realized how many people were looking for an easier way to bake sourdough—and that’s what led me here. Now, I want to help you skip the struggle and jump right to the good part—baking delicious, homemade sourdough with confidence. Get started here.

Background

From a young age, I’ve always loved cooking. My grandma was an incredible cook and baker—every holiday season, she was known for selling her famous nut and pumpkin rolls.

My sister followed in her footsteps, turning her talent into a business teaching and selling decorated sugar cookies. I always knew I wanted to start something of my own, but I never quite knew what—until I discovered sourdough.

My husband and I got married in 2015, and since then, we’ve moved seven times! We’re currently settled in Indiana while he completes his medical residency. We have two little boys who keep us on our toes, and we love spending time outdoors and traveling whenever we can.
