Big Ticket Items

big ticket sourdough gift collage: bread oven, kitchen aid, grain mill, proofing box, ooni pizza oven, bosch

This is my absolute favorite baking pan. The shallow base and tall lid make it easy to get the sourdough bread in and out of the pan. It works well for round and oval loaves.

This mixer is great for making sourdough discard recipes like cookies and cakes. However, if you are looking for a mixer for bread dough like bagels and sandwich bread I recommend the Bosch mixer.

If you or someone you are shopping for are interested in milling their own grains this grain mill is the perfect present.

This bread proofer is a game changer for sourdough baking. It keeps your sourdough starter and dough a consistent temperature, no matter the season, giving you great bakes time after time.

If you’re ready to get into your sourdough pizza era a pizza oven is a must! With gas or wood pellet options this pizza oven is sure to give you the pizza of your dreams.

If you mix a lot of bread dough this is the mixer for you! The dough hook can handle up to 34 dozen cookies and 14- 1 pound loaves of bread. It has a powerful engine and is made to last!

Handcrafted Gifts

handcrafted sourdough gift collage: wild clementine cover, bread bags, dough whisk, rolling pins, bread lame, apron

These are the covers I use for my proofing baskets. They have a wipeable, waterproof liner on the inside and come in so many cute prints. All handmade in the USA. For 9-10″ proofing baskets I recommend size medium.

These cotton bread bags are lined with beeswax on the inside which extends freshness and makes it easy to clean. They are great for storing all your bread products in.

Barlow & Co creates some of the most beautiful, handcrafted sourdough tools and their dough whisks are no exception. They are made to last and are perfect for mixing sourdough bread, pancake and muffin batter, and more. Made in the USA.

I never thought I would have an opinion on a rolling pin until I tried this one. This french rolling pin is beautifully crafted and extra large making it easy to roll out cinnamon rolls, crackers, and more.

These handcrafted bread lames from Wire Monkey Shop are light and well made in the USA. I especially love the goose neck as it is magnetic so it can stick on my fridge away from little hands in the drawer.

These lightweight, cottage-inspired cotton aprons are adorable and come in so many colors.

Stocking Stuffers Under $20

under $20 sourdough gift collage: silicone bread sling, bread lame, salt, bread knife, sourdough starter, kitchen scale

I love using these reusable bread slings to bake my sourdough bread on. Rated for up to 500 degrees Farenheit, these mats make transporting your sourdough a breeze.

For precision and consistency in baking a kitchen scale is a must. This affordable scale has lasted me years.

This magnetic bread lame is small and portable making it easy to score sourdough bread.

These salts from am.niccoli are delicious in sourdough bread. They have a savory salt made with herbs and spices and a vanilla bean salt which I love to add to sweet loaves, like my chocolate sourdough or white chocolate almond.

This is the bread knife I have used for the last 5 years and it is the best for slicing sourdough bread, plus at the price point you can’t beat it.

If you are shopping for someone brand new to sourdough, gifting them a sourdough starter is a great option. While you can make your own, starting with a dehydrated starter makes the process much quicker and easier.

Practical Gifts

practical sourdough gift collage: proofing baskets, dough mat, kitchen towels, sourdough starter jar, bread pan, flour, lanon gloves

You can never have too many proofing baskets! Whether you enjoy baking oval or round loaves of bread, extra baskets are always handy to have.

The Bakehouse Essentials Dough Mat is a temperature controlled heating mat that keeps your sourdough starter and dough warm. It can speed up rise times and ensure your sourdough is warm enough, especially during the winter months. This is a great option if you aren’t ready to invest in a proofing box. I have size large and it’s great for when I’m baking multiple things at once.

Geometry Tea Towels are the best kitchen towels. They are absorbent and fast drying and come in so many cute prints.

This is my favorite jar for sourdough bread. It is well thought out for sourdough bakers with a wide mouth, marked measurements, and the weight of the jar printed on the side. It comes with a red silicone lid to cover your sourdough starter and a skinny spatula.

USA Pans are my absolute favorite pans. They evenly bake sourdough bread and the 1 pound pan is the perfect size for sandwich bread.

Forget the flowers, I’ll take a bouquet of flours. Sunrise Flour Mill promises quality flour with organic easy-to-digest heritage wheat.

Lanon heat protection gloves keep your hands and arms safe from the high temperatures used when baking sourdough bread.
